Tauana Kalapalo

Tiogo Kalapalo (centre) distributes fish to residents of Aiha Kalapalo village in Xingu to thank them for their contribution to the Kuarup ritual, a celebration of life, death and rebirth. The community has collected tapioca flour to feed the participants in the ritual, including singers, dancers and guests from other villages.
